Meet Our Makers
Here is one of our Silver Sahara artisans, Mubarak Douini, pouring molten silver into a sand mold. To his right you can see he is creating Tuareg "Southern Crosses", which he has cooling on the dirt floor. Using time-honored techniques passed down through generations, he carries on the beautiful traditions of his unique culture.
Silver Sahara's mission is ensuring the continuation and appreciation of traditional indigenous craft techniques like those pictured here. Sales on Silver Sahara provide artisans with sustainable living wages, better working conditions, and technological training for continued success.

I couldn't be more pleased with the museum-quality pieces that I purchased...To my surprise, I had met one of the sellers (Mohamed) while in Essaouira in 2016 so was very excited to patronize this business knowing that the artifacts are authentic and the purchase supports Morocco.
