19th Century Moroccan Etched Bronze Camel Sculpture
Stunning antique bronze sculpture of a camel saddled up and ready to cross the Sahara Desert. Ornately detailed, with the saddle and musculature handsomely defined by engraving and polishing. The natural green patina adds further beauty and definition to this exceptional bronze animal sculpture. Heavy and freestanding, this is a signature piece for your home or office.
This relic was handmade in Morocco in the late 19th century, or perhaps even earlier. It was discovered in the ruins of an old Jewish kasbah in southern Morocco, along with other bronze items from the same era.
