A finely crafted Moroccan gently curved dagger sword, known as a khoummya. The blade is made of local iron, offset twice and double-edged, forged with a slight curve. Sourced from the Azlag Dagger Cooperative in central Morocco, the distinctive curve on this blade is a signature design of the dagger makers of Kelaat M'Gouna.

The highly polished, smooth handle is made entirely from bone. Each dagger is entirely handmade, from the handle to the sheath. Master craftsmen carefully tap out the designs on the sheath using a hammer and nail.

Materials used include stainless metal alloys--metal (silver, copper, brass, iron) alloys are sourced from Marrakech and is used to create the sheath of the dagger; and cow bones from Kalaat M'Gouna, Morocco near Zagora and surrounding areas.

Large scissors are used to cut the steel/silver alloy into a dagger shape for the blade. When a metal sheet is cut to size, the artisans use a tagont to mold the metal into its final shape for the sheath. Then a sizou, a nail used to carve the metal, is used to tap in the ornate designs. Two metal rings attached to sheath allow for easy display. The blade is split with a double tip, dull with light wear.

INTERNATIONAL:
We understand the complexities of shipping internationally and are happy to work with you. Please email info@silversahara.com for specific questions about international shipping. International shipping costs start at $16, and depend on size and weight of shipping package and shipping location. Items over $200 ship FREE unless otherwise noted. Excessive shipping charges will be refunded on a case by case basis at our discretion. In the event of unforeseen shipping cost increases on large/heavy items beyond our control, you may be requested to pay an additional amount in order to secure safe shipment. Domestic Shipping Policy
Shipment processing time
All orders are processed within 2-4 business days. Items shipping directly from Morocco, as indicated in description, typically take 3-9 days for processing. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email.

Delivery estimates
Overnight delivery is only available for orders with delivery addresses within the continental United States.

Shipment to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses
SilverSahara.com ships to addresses within the U.S., U.S. Territories, and APO/FPO/DPO addresses.

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking
You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

Customs, Duties and Taxes
SilverSahara.com is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.). Please keep this in mind when placing your order.

Damages
SilverSahara.com will always do whatever is possible to guarantee your satisfaction. We are not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim. Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim, as they often will request photos.

International Shipping Policy
We are happy to ship worldwide. Shipping cost based on destination. Expedited services via FedEx available, please inquire. Customer will be notified if shipping cost is significantly higher than quoted during checkout and may be asked to approve the additional amount prior to shipping.

When packages are shipped internationally, they may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees imposed by the destination country. These charges will typically be due once the shipped goods arrive at the country of destination. Silver Sahara is not responsible for excess charges.

You are responsible with ensuring to comply with laws and regulations of the country of destination. Silver Sahara does not have any responsibility on these additional charges that may apply.

The amount of custom duty and import VAT payable will be assessed at the point of entry of the destination country. This may result in you having to pay additional charges which are not included in the total price displayed at checkout.

As the threshold for the application of such charges may vary from country to country, please contact your local customs/ tax office for further information. Alternatively, you should check with your local tax advisor for more information.

For lost, misplaced, or delayed shipments or damaged freight by the freight carriers after they have been dispatched, Silver Sahara cannot be held responsible / liable for lost or stolen packages that have delivery confirmation to the address that was provided.

The customer accepts full responsibility to file any claim(s) with carrier for damaged and/or lost shipments. We are not responsible for delivery errors via carrier, or incorrect shipping information. Although most shipments arrive in a timely manner, please allow AT LEAST 30-45 days for international delivery (or more depending on current world situation).

If your item has not arrived after 30 days and was shipped PRIORITY MAIL INSURED please contact us to begin a lost package claim. Unfortunately, if your item was shipped via First Class Uninsured, this is at your own risk and we are unable to provide a money-back guarantee on lost packages.
