Silver Sahara Moroccan Store Featured in the Martha’s Vineyard Times
Silver Sahara’s Moroccan store was featured in the newspaper on Martha's Vineyard, the Martha's Vineyard Times. The article is about how Silver Sahara teamed up with the main music store on the small resort island, Island Music, bringing fascinating Moroccan instruments to their shop. Mohamed El Fassi and Carolina Cooney of Silver Sahara worked together with their friend Mohjab in Essaouira, Morocco, selecting instruments like qarkabeb, tarija, outar, tamtam and other items for Island Music.
With El Fassi coordinating the shipment in Morocco, and Cooney managing operations in the United States, everything was carefully packed up and a large crate was shipped via FedEx in February. Island Music created a gorgeous display and now has the items for sale in their shop. While Silver Sahara does not normally sell Moroccan instruments in their online Moroccan store, they are available for special order.
