Silver Sahara is sad to report the death of one of our treasured artisans, Mubarak Douini, the master craftsman in engraving on jewelry and wood from Mohamed's hometown of Amazraou, Morocco. Mubarak's shop in Amazraou creates many of the gorgeous doors and carved wood items you see on our site. His son, Abdel, and his family will continue to create, using the techniques passed down through Mubarak and generations of their elders. May God bless Mubarak with his vast mercy and forgiveness and grant him his vast paradise. Our condolences to all his family.
