You'll never find another Moroccan coral necklace quite like this! In the center is a large amber bead, flanked on each side by large malachite beads Large branches of true coral (and a few faux coral beads) are interspersed with sterling silver beads. The three strands of the Tuareg necklace meet on sides, highlighting the collarbone on each side with a large round silver bead, ebony beads, malachite beads, and smaller silver beads . Another section of coral tapers into a small silver bead, where three additional coral branches end in a woolen tie.

More than 100 years old this true red coral, also known as precious coral, is very hard to find and no longer sold. This antique Moroccan necklace comes from the small desert town of Zagora, Morocco, sourced directly from the original owner's Tuareg descendants.

The Tuareg originate from Mali, Algeria and Libya, but after travelling the Sahara Desert, a small group settled in the southern Moroccan Zagora province. Silver Sahara sources all our Tuareg items directly from descendants of the original settlers, ensuring that fair prices are paid.
