This large and heavy vintage men's ring features the traditional Berber symbols of the sun, as well as the eye symbol, believed to protect the wearer from the evil eye. 

Solid Sterling Silver. Size 12.

Very sturdy ring, with an ebony and silver stacked in a stunning tribal Tuareg design, and extensive niello, providing attractive contrast in the design. 

This beautiful, unique ring is handmade by the native Moroccan Amazigh/Berber people of the Sahara desert of North Africa. The rings are made by heating and hand-shaping silver and natural stones such as the agate using their traditional tools. Tuareg rings are distinctive for their use of stacked wood. Each ring is completely one-of-a-kind, with minor imperfections because they are done separately by hand.
