You will fall instantly in love with this basket! This wonderful antique Moroccan flat bread basket brings the colorful, cheerful energy of Morocco into your home. Handcrafted in the southern Morocco town of Amezrou, near the door to the Sahara Desert, the basket was handwoven using subtly fragrant, naturally sustainable palm leaf, and is wrapped with hand-harvested wool dyed with natural organic dyes.
With outstandingly vibrant colors despite its age, this Moroccan flat basket is a delight of pink, orange, purple, red, and blue with fluorescent yellow--nearly all the colors of the rainbow and then some! You can display the basket on the wall for a pop of color, or it works very well as a jewelry or key holder. This particular basket is especially unique as it is a pedestal, with a base on the bottom raising it up, and it is fully bordered with points, creating a sunshine shape.
This Moroccan coil basket is absolutely one-of-a-kind. Completely handmade, not machine made like many you see today.
Beautiful and functional! More than 100 years old.
