A beautifully preserved pair of Moroccan Berber Fibulae. The Moroccan silver fibulae are from the 1900s, and are colorfully enameled, with small enameled metal beads and faux coral bead decorations.
Fibulae are brooches used to attach the headscarf to clothing. In Berber culture, the indigenous culture of Morocco, the larger and more valuable the brooch, the higher the standing of the woman in the tribe.
