This item was used to mill wheat in southern Morocco. The original mill has been lovingly restored and redecorated with a large hamsa hand carved with a vivid eye, silver melange flowers, silver Tuareg crosses, antique coins, and half-moon camel bone eyes. The top and bottom are wrapped in silver melange repousse. The pestle has been further decorated with antique coins.
