This large vintage Tuareg cross necklace is in the shape identifying with the In Abangaret tribe. Simple engraving decorating the design, with very light scoring to give definition. Mid-weight onyx beads interspersed with cast silver tube beads lead to a hand-engraved silver alloy pendant with stacked ebony and silver in the trademark Tuareg style.
The Tuareg originate from Mali, Algeria and Libya, but after travelling the Sahara Desert, a small group settled in the southern Moroccan Zagora province. Silver Sahara sources all our Tuareg items directly from descendants of the original settlers, ensuring that fair prices are paid.
