This large Moroccan two-handled jug is heavily decorated in Moroccan silver and copper. Both sides feature a coral bead, a bead of Lapis Lazuli, and a turquoise bead. Made of heavy thick pottery from the Draa Valley of southern Morocco.
These storage jugs were traditionally used to transport dates across the desert during times of travel. Handmade by Moroccan artisans, this item is from the southern Moroccan desert town of Zagora.
