Handmade by our master leatherworker in Fes, Morocco, this pair of red Moroccan Kilim and Leather Babouche Slippers has been made using vintage Kilim rugs and fine Moroccan leather. Handstitched, each slipper is unique due to the rug and section used to create it.
These slippers can be worn with the heel up, creating a shoe, or with the heel down like a more traditional babouche slipper. The inside of the slipper is a buttery soft leather, with the wool kilim on the outside.
Due to the unique nature of this product, designs vary and the two slippers are not an exact pattern match, although sometimes very close.
Womens Size 8 US
.5in block heel
Please note babouche are supposed to be quite tight for initial wear, with heel hanging slightly off the back. Over time the leather softens and molds to your feet, creating a wonderfully comfortable shoe!
All sales on Silver Sahara abide by fair trade principles, and benefit the native artisans to help ensure continuation of traditional craft techniques.
